Today I took my show down from the Green Bean Coffeehouse. My creatures have loved being in such a wonderful space for a whole month. For those of you who didn't get a chance to see them, never fear! They will be moving to the Fremont Space Building for the next two months. I will be a part of the Fremont Art Walks for December and January if you are free the first Friday night of each month.
Here is the finished Phoenix. Thanks to all who contributed to my Phoenix and to all who contribute to making the Green Bean an amazing community!
This weekend I had the chance to switch out the window display at Soundbridge Music Discovery Center. The Woodland Animal Quartet stayed, but have now been switched to a string quartet. I wish I was as versatile a musician as these animals.
It is a winter display, so a snowman was in order.
The snowman was quite happy with his position viewing the passers-by on 2nd Ave.
The Woodland Quartet are enjoying the twinkle lights.
The final product. Lots of glitter, fluff, twinkle lights, and musical snowflakes. Stop by Benaroya Hall and check it out sometime this winter!
I recently had the exciting opportunity to design and create four backdrop panels for a series of kids concerts hosted by Soundbridge in the Benaroya recital hall. As with all good projects, it started with a sketch:
And then I yet again took over the whole living room.
After hours of gluing yarn, cutting and adhering flannel shapes, webbing and grommetting the edges, the panels were finished and ready to put up!
Shapes and stripes onstage!
